Transparency with our prices

All of the EV chargers we install indicate a price on our website. This price includes our standard home installation package.

We want you to know that the price quoted is the price you will pay after completion of your installation. There will be no hidden extras! We will always perform a site survey in advance of your installation to determine if you qualify or discuss and preference you may have.

Our standard home installation package is shown below and will cover most UK households. If a survey dictates that additional work is required, CC Electrical Services will provide a breakdown of the additional requirements and costs prior to installation.

The Standard Home Installation Package Includes:

  • The fitting of your selected Charge point on a brick or plaster wall, or other suitable permanent structure.

  • Up to 10 meters of cable, run and neatly clipped to the wall between the distribution board and the charge point.

  • Routing of the cable through a drilled hole in a wall up to 500mm (20 inches) thick, where required.

  • The fitting and testing of electrical connections and protections required for the EV Charger.

  • Installation of a Type C MCB

  • Up to 3 meters (10 feet) of plastic conduit or trunking to conceal interior wiring.

What can increase the cost of your EV charge point installation?

There are a number of factors, but here are a few examples that can increase the cost of your installation:

  • Installing cables in external trenches or installing under floors, in walls or lofts.

  • Type A RCD/RCBO - this is a protective device required for some installations to protect against current overload, AC and DC leakage.

  • Dedicated two-way distribution board - this may be required if your present fuse box is incompatible or has no "spare ways"

  • 100A Henley blocks for splitting the tails.

  • The fitting of a recommended SPD - surge protection device.

  • Additional labour - for more complex installations or for jobs that will simply take longer (above the four hours included).

  • Earth rod - some charge points and properties require an earth rod to be installed.
